Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Canteen opening times
Our school canteen is open for lunch orders and snacks Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Ordering lunches
Students place their lunch order in the green box out the front of the office before school. Alternatively, lunch orders can be made through my school connect. Online orders can be placed any time up until 8:45am on the day of the lunch order. We encourage parents to send reusable lunch bags, otherwise a paper bag will be provided.
Canteen helpers
Students from each class collect the lunch orders at the beginning of lunch and deliver to the cola. Our canteen is run by our generous P&C and members of the community, we always welcome new volunteers to assist in canteen.
Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

Hillsborough Public school has high expectations of uniform.
Uniforms can be purchased via the uniform shop, currently open each Wednesday 8.30-9.30am at the back of the office. Alternatively, online uniform orders can be placed through the Parents and Citizens app and these will be sent home with the student after the orders are filled each Wednesday.
Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
