Aboriginal Education
We are dedicated to providing equitable, culturally inclusive, and meaningful educational opportunities for all students. We welcome you into our school and are proud to work in partnership with you, your child, our local community and the Kumaridha AECG to enhance educational outcomes, celebrate successes and support wellbeing.
At HPS, we offer enriching opportunities, such as fostering leadership and student voice through our Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (JAECG). Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded in learning activities, as we acknowledge and connect with culturally significant places and events.
Students participate in learning opportunities where they can learn about traditional dance and art, the local Awabakal language, how to cook with local Indigenous ingredients and more.
